Descriptive Problem Summary: I noticed this a while back and didn't realize it until a moment ago.

The problem is Hub Paths, once used, cannot be used again. If I create a hub using path somehubpath, then delete the hub and attempt to recreate it, you get a "FKI.somehubpath is not available" message.

Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem: See description above.

Expected Results: For Hub paths to be deleted with the hubs.

Actual Results: Hub paths exist forever after being used once.

Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often? Every time.
In other user accounts? N/A
On other computers? N/A

When does the problem NOT occur? It does not.

Workarounds: None.

Lummox JR resolved issue (Not a bug)
This is intentional behavior. Hub entries don't get truly deleted until a long period after the soft-delete. If you've deleted an entry you need to reinstate, just let me know and I can restore it for you.
In response to Lummox JR
How long is true delete delayed?
Quite a long time, these days.

The reason we don't simply let the old path be reused is mainly as an anti-abuse measure.
Gotcha.
