I'm trying all this for the first time, but it seems that I can't even open BYOND. I'm on Win 8 and I accidentally downloaded the beta version first,not sure how that'd affect me, but I thought I should bring it up. I have tried downloading it again, to no avail, anyone have a solution?

Make sure the entire installation folder is in your antivirus's exceptions.

I found a fix, I can run it as an admin to get it to work, thanks for the suggestion though!
