Hello Readers! And now for a message on keeping your account safe: Don't share your account password with anyone! Not only is that the top safety tip for keeping your account yours, but according to a recent court case, it may even be illegal by current anti-hacking law language! (Alright, so the report is most likely overblown, but nevertheless.) This safety reminder was brought to you by the government going where government should never go. Onto the updates!

BYOND

While this past week was an easy one for BYOND Developer Lummox JR, having taken a vacation to somewhere in Canada, work on stabling BYOND 511 and bringing the Webclient up to par may be the focus for this present week. Two weeks ago was a different story however, with a handful of first-pass bug fixes and discussion of efficiency modifications that could bring improvements across the board. If you own a gamepad, take a few moments to set it up, pull its configuration data, and post it here.

BYOND Games

Enemies have taken over the latest two Dev-logs shared by Ishuri featuring Land of Fire. Players will need to dodge the missiles conjured by Runemages, take heed from the bats dive bombing you into the abyss, Swerve about to avoid being overran by rolies. And theses are just the little guys. The real monsters include a rip-roaring energy blasting dragon, and a massive snake named Corinth. The team has been slithering towards a CrowdFunding campaign, and has started changing gears to create a working demo for the cause.

Kumorii is taking advantage of the new client FPS setting in Feed, allowing players to work at 60 frames per second, while the server pokes along at 40. In addition to that change, lasers run a few watts higher, new materials were discovered, giving shields special defense properties, and the viewport bobs around as well.

We're Cruisin' on down Main Street, we're relaxed and feelin' good, next thing that you know you're seein', entrepreneurs in the neighborhood! So take a few hundred bucks and join in the money earning madness on Main Street, a retail tycoon game. The game just entered public Alpha and Foogimicester is looking for ideas and stress tests. Current features include hiring employees, upgrading store sizes, and placing decorations. Interface improvements are on the way, along with scoreboards, and more management options.

A new demo for Lux has been released, and now you can control the rover with your gamepad. The map rending process has been changed, providing stability and quickness. On the slower side of things, brakes were added to help keep the rover from sliding down hills.

Mystic Ball Ex has seen a handful of new items over the past two weeks, with AvidAnimeFan providing full details. X marks the spot to dig, as directed to by the recently added Treasure Map, using the recently added shovel. Enemies have added gold and other resources to their holdings; Ki Plants will hold some of the aforementioned resources. Grab some food and try to make it big in the in-game lottery. If that doesn't work out so well, perhaps try to pad your pocketbook with a new commission-based hosting offer.

Tales of Judgement R continues down its journey, with the discovery of a new town and forested area, both with their own quests and exploration challenges! Newly added skits and other short dialoged segments may assist you along your adventure, and Gailardia Galan Gardios has trophies to award, just to keep your priorities straight.

AvidAnimeFan found some new artwork and continued production on Mini RPG. Showing off some of the new artwork is the icons from seven of twelve classes, and the strategy will be based on the player's ability to maintain a well-balanced party in battle using real friends or hired adventurers. Making and maintaining equipment is a planned aspect as well, followed by selling formerly mentioned equipment for some shiny gold.

In response to FKI
Thanks for the quick catch, I've corrected the typo highlighted in bold!
Always nice to see what's going on in BYOND! This makes it easier not to miss anything. Thanks a bunch Higoten. Looking forward to the next one. :)
The court case isn't about the password sharing, just an FYI, it's about the theft of company date that occurred after the access was made. It's stated plainly in the trials and even in the comments of the article.
noice job everyone! keep up with the good work
Currently cleaning up some basic movement and control mechanics in preparation for experimenting with controller support with Feed. I think it'd be a blast to play Feed with a controller. Especially with the twin-stick control scheme it uses. (^8
Get a grip! Kaiochao published a library that focuses on handing mouse input.

It's actually all kinds of macro-able input. Mouse, keyboard, and gamepad. It's basically a unification of my mouse and keyboard libraries, written for 511 with my enums and events in mind.
Really looking forward to all this gamepad stuff. Trying Feed with it should be fun. I plan to implement it for FRR, but not until sometime after I get a working demo at least. Speaking of FRR, it should hopefully appear again in the next Within BYOND.

Recent progress has been more back-end, and less preview-worthy, but I am hoping to start doing dev logs at least twice a month soon. Maybe more depending on how meaty each one is.
