Byond keeps updating

Everything I open Byond I have to update the stable 510.13 version. I don't know why this keeps happening. Anyone have an idea to fix this issue?

What version are you actually using? Where are you seeing the message that you have to update, and what does it say exactly?

I am currently on Version 509.1319.

It's still happening. I am about to update it again to 510.1347, even though I did this yesterday.

This sounds like BYOND isn't actually being updated properly. I believe you're running afoul of the dreaded VirtualStore.

Look for something like C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore, and find a folder under that for BYOND. Close BYOND, and murder that folder. After that, updates should work properly.
