Byond won't start

I have Byond downloaded on my main computer and it works fine. I tried to download the client on my laptop as well, but I seem to have run into a complication. At first I tried to download the stable version. After hassling with Norton 2017, I was able to download the client. I received the "Loading games" message for two seconds, then it vanished and Byond wouldn't run. It didn't even appear in task manager. I shrugged it off and tried to download the beta version. Oddly enough, I was prompted to "close Byond to continue," even though it didn't seem to appear. Norton appeared less skeptical of this version, but I had the same result. What is my problem and how can I fix it?

Lummox JR	If you look at the details tab in your task manager, you'll probably seek dreamseeker.exe stuck. If you can't close dreamseeker.exe, that's a sure-fire sign that antivirus or security software is interfering with it. If you can, that's still a possibility.
