irc is a protocol

oauth isn't.

It is a best practice guide, nothing more.
To call it anything less is an insult to the authors
I'm fine with that.
But it's hard to throw the time into it when I can't see a broad benefit picture.
Can we donate directly for this and some other features?
google recently announced they would revoke oauth tokens when the user changes their password so it really is best practice as I understand it

Yes thats for sites that provide an API, BYOND on the other hand shouldn't really grant access on the account.
