Cause it looks completely random to me
I see games with 0 players right on top and games with 30 players waaay below. What is the cause of this?

BYOND has an algorithm for it, probably something to do with fans/activity/popularity/etc. It's weird though some of the games on the front page haven't been played/hosted for a long time so it probably leans more towards the overall popularity over the game's entire lifetime?
