Also called mod2x, it would be useful both for lighting and burn-and-dodge decals / overlays (for example, this is how the bullet holes in HL2 work).
Basically, the mode is constructed by setting the SRC blend function to DST_COLOR and setting the DST blend function to SRC_COLOR, effectively producing 2*src*dst.
