At /tg/ we are prepping a rollout to a windows service based architecture, where DD will run as a windows service that is managed by a control panel.

We need a way to be able to log dd into a byond account without having the ability to actually interact with the pager gui.

The passwords are stored encrypted in the registry with some sort of magic goo or we would just modify that directly and launched the pager in a fake gui environment like we do with DD.

Because there are security implications with running DD as guest, this would also need to be ported to linux.
BYONDexe's hosting capabilities don't require you to be logged in or even have BYOND installed. I'd imagine porting that functionality to a more generic version of DD would be the best method of pulling this off, and Lummox shouldn't have a massive project ahead of him to do so.
