What could be causing this? I can connect to plenty of other servers.

One example would be Hippie. A few of my friends could connect fine but an equal amount had the same issue as myself.

Connectivity seems fine. I don't have any previous/current bans from these stations, and I only have a single registered Ckey on my machine.

It just seems to load the station name in the top left, the unrendered background where the logo would be in the viewport, and the status area is frozen with nothing in the chat log.
I've tried all the usual suspects, such as activeX, connection exceptions and the likes, but something seems to be preventing my client from connection correctly.
