Issue hasn't been assigned a status value.
Descriptive Problem Summary:
There seem to be two different copies of the Dream Maker reference still on the byond.com site, but one of them appears to be quite outdated and has a broken search feature. It says "Version 498, updated December 11, 2012"
Perhaps this copy is not meant to still be hosted on the site? In any case, this bug report is about the broken search feature.

Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
1. Visit http://www.byond.com/members/?command=reference
2. Type any search term in the search bar, then click "Search"
3. Wait (close to 2 minutes) until a page loads

Expected Results:
When searching for the word "test", it seems like what should load is the URL http://www.byond.com/ members/?command=search&text=test&type=reference
I expect it to load quickly and give me search results that contain DM reference entries.

Actual Results:
It seems like the request times-out, then loads a different page in a different section of the site.
When I searched for the word "test" I got sent to the URL: http://www.byond.com/ forum/?command=search&text=test&type=reference
This gave me only forum search results. No DM reference entries were listed.

Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often?
Every time.
In other games?
N/A
In other user accounts?
Yes
On other computers?
Yes

When does the problem NOT occur?
I have never seen it not occur.

Did the problem NOT occur in any earlier versions? If so, what was the last version that worked?
I only noticed this today. I have not used the site long enough to give any kind of timeline.

Workarounds:
I have been using what appears to be the more current DM reference here:
http://www.byond.com/docs/ref/
It doesn't seem to have a search feature. I am not sure how up to date it is -- I have not found a date or version number for it.

When I need to actually search for something, I have been using Dream Maker's built-in 'Help' files.
If it's not going to be updated, it ought to be taken down. I've run into too many people thinking that this is the most current documentation.
Indeed, I need to remove the old interactive reference. I'd prefer to update it, but a lot of things that were in the old interactive ref got changed so much in the big forum update that it's probably better just to remove it, or at least deactivate it for now.
