Problem description: I'm currently trying to make a translation for Space Station 13 and to my horror i noticed that it's unable to output letters with accent. I hope there is a way to change the encoding to allow such thing. | |

You'd have to use a browser element for output. BYOND doesn't support any non standard encoding sets for text.

While i was searching for a solution i found a russian SS13 server and they didn't seem to have a problem with displaying cyrillic and those are definetly non-standard.

I don't mean a popup, no. That Russian server is probably using a browser element for their output control, you can do this with a combination of HTML, Javascript, and DM.

The russians said they didn't change the server code for output in any way.
