Did I ever tell you how much I hate chat systems? They are literally the bane of my existence. Who even cares about these things anyway?
Well anyway, I decided to implement chat today. and by 'implement' I mean lazily splice together some old code I had laying around. Because I'll be damned if I'm going to spend my precious time writing a text cruncher.
I made sure the thing has emoticon support, so you can have your deluxe BYOND smiley experience.
There's support for an ignore list, but I haven't made it available to players yet. When I get around to security, I'll add this in. This will allow players to mute players who happen to be spamming "LOL XDXDXDXDXDXDXD" into the chat 50x a minute.
