Notes
I didn't really like how the interface was shaping up, so I scrapped it completely and started over. What I came up with is pictured in the above screenshot.
Additionally, I added the status window, which looks like this:
It will be used for quickly managing your character and accessing the skill tree.
Aside from that, I started doing some much needed mapwork. The map is unlikely to be done for many versions, but it's a little more tolerable now.
I spent entirely too much time messing around with trees this week, I decided to just recolor the one I had. I'm sure sometime in the future, I will once again waste my time messing with the tree graphic.
In general, this patch was mostly prep-work for some very important updates that are coming up. The files should be up to date, so you can give it a spin if you want.

bug fixes:
- fixed a graphical error where hair did not always match base attack frames.
- fixed an issue with chat bubbles where they were slightly off center.
changes:
- chat bubbles are now semi transparent.
- "Guide" menu renamed to "How to Play" (trying to make it super easy to identify!)
- Tree recolored.
- Main window interface reworked entirely
- HUD buttons reworked.
additions:
- Status window added w/character information (WIP)
- Rules added (can be accessed from side pane)
- Village map expanded.
