This issue has been resolved.
Descriptive Problem Summary:
I see the same thing in the news section everyday, yet according to the pager it's always new three or four times over and this happens often.

N/A ( I really don't have any, the problem just occurs )

To receive this page when there actually is news that I haven't seen before.

Not what I expected.

Every time? Or how often? Very often.

In other user accounts? Yes
On other computers? Yes

When does the problem NOT occur?
Not a time when it doesn't.

Did the problem NOT occur in any earlier versions? If so, what was the last version that worked? It did occur in some earlier versions.


I get the same bug. The only time the "You've got news!" pops up is when someone comments on the page that the news is on though.
This is a bug that has been around for a while now, although no one has been able to find a way to reliably reproduce it.
I thought you only received those messages when the libraries / demos / games you downloaded were updated, I think it's an useless message, though. You get the same message from a New BYOND Version, from a comment... I don't really can see it's function because when you see it the first time it looks the same, try to make it display the correct text, not just that old comment x,x...
This has been around for a little over a year now and it always annoyed the hell out of me. The link doesn't even work when you click it. /:
I was going to make a new post about this but since its already one "famous"bug I ll just post it here.

Its been happening 1 o 2 times a day every couple of days. I click the news and nothing happens.
