Fade Effect and Aura Questions

Hi. I'm just trying to figure out how to make faded icons (as in transparent ones) and good auras that will fit a 32x32 square. Thanks. :3

Well with transparency isn't it just a matter of turning down the alpha before you start filling with color in DM? That is if you're using DM.
