There u go can you see it now?

Alright, ill walk you though how i got this far.
Remember, Edits aren't for you to just take, but for you to work off of.
I tried Fixing up the Shape first.

- Your head was to small.
- I moved the arm and legs apart, and added a bit of depth on the hands.
- I made the legs more slender as they go down.
- I remade the feet.

As for shading...
- I hue shifted on the pallet.
- I made a light source from the side.
- I selective outlined.

If you need any help with any of this, say so, or look on the front page, there's a bunch of helpful links at the bottom to tutorials. =D

EDIT:

-Fixed some issues with the current icon...
-Now hosted on image shack, so it wont go away...

xD

It was an example, i didn't say it was flawless, =)

EDIT:

fixed? XD
Aside from the obvious pixel tips (shading, outlines) the shape of your figure (and animation) isn't all that good. So I'm suggestion you take some time to learn about drawing human bodies (and making them move!). This isn't so much a problem on something as small as 32x32 but the larger you get the more you have to be careful about. Since it seems you aren't trying to make a stylized character these should help you a bit.
