I admit I like the colors going on here, but I may try again with a slightly different pallet and resource for a better result. This was kinda "Just go with it." Lol.

Is it supposed to be a horizon with a cliff in the distance or sort of a side-scroller view of the sea floor where you see a dissection of the ground?
