The recent surge in posts like [link] made me think of allowing gift subscriptions. You know, just like when your parents buy you a one year subscription to Reader's Digest, which you never actually read.

I'm occasionally tempted to donate to someone who seems to have promise, especially those wanting BYONDscape subscriptions. But how do I know they won't just take their newly found wealth and run off with it? I'd be happy to give out the occasional gift subscription, however. Or at least more inclined to consider it. Just a thought.
