How many people do you know (not online, but in real life) that are on BYOND?
I believe I know...4, and know of 2 others that either my friends know, or my relatives know...

I know 2. They never speak on the forums, they haven't put anything up, but they stuf around with BYOND a bit. I introduced them both to BYOND. :)

I know one person, but I dont like him in real life or online, and he only played one game for about 5 minutes about 2 years ago.

I tried to introduce three people to BYOND. One of them proclaimed that it was "crap" (for reasons unknown to me) and continued to work on his ultimately doomed 3D game; one of them thought it was pretty good, but was more of a player than a developer and had other games he liked better (he was on 56k, too, so the online aspect didn't appeal quite as much!); and one of them had other games he wanted to play.
So, somewhere between zero and three. =)

They cant figure out how to make a game. 3. Its not 3D. 2. "I could make a better game." 1. The graphics sux0rs.

Maybe he didn't like the programming language, but if that's the case then he's just an idiot. =P 3. Its not 3D. This was probably the main factor. 2. "I could make a better game." Substitute "3D" for "better" and that's about what he was thinking. =) 1. The graphics sux0rs. Related to the above two.

Dragoon_Gunger (Dragonseeker1488) is a close friend of mine... Stealth 2k is my friend's cousin, though I don't really talk to that friend very much anymore, I talk to Stealth 2k alot more but he moved to Idaho.
Around here the main reason people look at BYOND but don't stay is because they are too afraid as being labled "geeky" if they do anything on the net.
I introduced 2 people that didn't stay because of that, and the person who introduced me to it didn't stay because of that. I try to make them sound stupid for saying that so they would give it a chance, but they are just too chicken, or in other words, too afraid they might like it.
