This issue has been resolved.
Descriptive Problem Summary:
The forum likes to place varying forms of "Ã", "Â" and so on in front of unicode characters.

Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
1. Make post with some unicode content. (some kind of non-regular quotes, or fancy symbols)
2. Preview will probably show them fine.
3. Post gets murdered with "A"
4. Edit & submit post with same content.
5. Post gets murdered more.

Expected Results:
The ability to cleanly post unicode and other special characters. This issue was fixed specifically for curly quotes before, but not for everything.

Actual Results:
Lots of "A" all up in my unicode.

Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often? All of the time, different amounts of "A" depending on how many times the post was edited.
On other computers? Yes.

When does the problem NOT occur?
When you use standard ASCII stuff, I guess.

Workarounds:
Use the HTML entity form of the characters, but this only works outside of DM tags.

To me, it doesn't really look like it was fixed for UTF-8/Unicode characters; but more for stuff that fits under ANSI characters like », ÷, ×, ¶, those work now. But characters that worked previously, as displayed here don't.
