Sometimes on BYOND Tabletop Gaming, this happens.

Telnet @220.253.002.226 logs in.

Basically, that Telnet thing logs in, posts garbage, and is caught by the zealous spam filter. I want to know what the heck it is.
It could be either a client trying to automatically send some data that is needed for other games/protocols, but that you don't need, or a simple attempt to spam, or anything in between.
BYOND doesn't just support Dream Seeker as a means of playing games. If you have a text only game, you can support the Telnet protocol.

For example, if you were to go into command prompt and type "telenet" without the quotes, you'd suddenly be in a telnet prompt. From here, you can type "-open [ip_of_server] [server_port]" without the quotes to access that server using telnet.

In the actual key, Telnet @220.253.002.226, "Telnet" tells you it's a telnet client, @220.253.002.226 tells you the IP address of the user. So it's essentially: Telnet at 220.253.002.226. Here is a whois lookup of the IP.
