WANO, have you considered open-sourcing it?

Just an idea. Open-source would also make it difficult to collect a profit. I wouldn't mind helping out as a programmer, but I don't think I could devote TONs of time to it.

Unless of course he plans to replace the artwork and take that which he paid good money for and create something else with it.

I don't think the problem is the programmers you've hired or the community's lack of capable programmers, it seems to be the game itself. Eternia looks like a generic MMORPG kind of game that would be very boring to implement. Lots of menus, generic attacks, and generic enemy AI - it's not surprising that people get bored of working on it.
If you want to make a game you should learn to program. You don't have to be able to make an entire game yourself but you should be able to code up a prototype of what'll make the game fun (ex: if the game centers around combat, prototype some special attacks and enemy AI, but leave out the unrelated stuff). This will: 1. Verify that the idea is as fun in actuality as it was in your head. 2. Give you an artifact (video, screenshot, etc.) that shows the game's potential. This'll help attract game developers. 3. Cut costs. You can sink $100 into graphics and a week of your time into coding the prototype to test the idea out before spending thousands of dollars.

Sell your soul to the devil in exchange for the God-like programming skills.
Or not, ya know just brain storming. -_-
