Descriptive Problem Summary: Although I believe that channels are left-over artifacts from an old site revision, They suffer from a few minor issues with following. You can't fan or follow thread posts made in channels.

Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
1) Navigate to a Channel (I.E: www.byond.com/developer/WildBlood/ByondReason?tab=index )

2) Click the [+] and notice that you are not added to the followers list.

3) Go to the comments section and notice that you are unable to follow it.

Expected Results: To be able to do anything that we can do with other sections of the site with channels. (Or perhaps they should just be removed, as they don't seem to serve a purpose, and aren't active)

Actual Results: That channels appear, but are not able to be fan/unfanned, and posts are unable to be followed.

When does the problem NOT occur? When not viewing a channel.
