Deathmatch mode, something I don't understand!
Fighting on LRS is fun, but it shouldn't be what the game is about. If you want to show everyone how supremely hardcore you are, is win by getting the other power packs AND killing a robot or 3 on the way. Now that's hardcore (note, I'm not saying I'm capable of this. I suck as a tactician).
But anyway. I'm just expressing my mild disapproval of "deathmatch mode". Just completely destroys the whole movement thing. Meh, maybe I'm just an old-timer.

While, I dont agree entirely, I love DM, but I prefer the original mode, I agree that only the best can kill two robots, then kill the last and win with power supplies at the same time by collecting the other last robot's power supplies, my hat's off to any player that manages that while playing entirely seriously, not just a staged game.

I just feel as thought combat in LRS is more about manipulating the way the other robot can move, or where it is...so if you bump into another robot on your way around the map, you can screm 'em over.
The combat isn't exactly suited for going and meeting someone in combat and slugging it out. You gotta be crafty. | |

Yeah, I prefer normal mode. Deathmatch mode often comes down to who gets the best cards first, and the strategy is limited to "stay away until you have good cards, then jump into your opponent's LOS as fast as possible when you have good cards".
