It's a bit buggy but I've found Lego Creator to be fairly good fun for building random stuff. You can build vehicles that you can then drive or fly, or make things with catapults that fire Lego dynamite to blow stuff up! It should be available pretty cheap as it's fairly old, if not you can always Legitimately Acquire yourself a copy, I'm sure it's out there somewhere ;-).
