From nothing. Kinda just free-handed it. Not the best looking robot but I don't really draw tech-y things very often.

I "doodled" or sketched something quickly (

) then went over it with a brush.

I don't like outlines unless I'm going for a certain feel. Inking is more for like comic book styles imo.

The only time I really use outlines would be for certain characters that would just look too odd realistic (hence cartoon-ish) or architecture. Which I really love to doodle because it's really fun and just simple lines.
