Mecha and Super-Robo are basically both robots, yeah, so fair enough on not wanting to watch Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
Mecha in way Complex Robot is talking, means realistic robots, with fairly realistic physics. Super-robo, would be robots with unrealistic / improbable physics associated, like a robot that shoots many more missiles than it could reasonably contain, for example. The distinction, Complex Robot, is actually a bit of an insider thing, I find, among mecha + super-robo communities. I don't see the distinction drawn much outside those groups. | |
