Well its simple really. I try to join a game. Splash screen pops up like its gonna work..but then dreamseeker dosnt open. I had this problem a few years back and how I would solve it is open task manager and the dreamseeker.exe would be running. Just end its process and try again, problem fixed. Well thats not working at all. The only byond service up is byond.exe this is happening for all games. Yesterday it happened once and reset my computer and it fixed. Well just tried that its not working. Cant join any games, what a bummer.
I have Windows 7, and latest stable version of BYOND. And disable firewalls, still didnt work.

Does the problem go away in version 494? There are some additions to that that should improve on common DS-pager communication issues.

I'm having the smae problem... I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but during the installation it says something about the dreamseeker.exe and I made sure that byond was completely closed.... Then after the installation is done I try running byond and then play a game but it says that ......./bin/dreamseeker.exe coould not be opened and something about a pager too

Hi Dub,
Can you try running the installion as an administrator? Check to make sure don't have permission issues on the application data folder in your user account in documents and settings. If that doesn't help, then can you post (or take a screenshot of) exactly what the error messages your receiving are saying? Good luck! | |
