Has anyone done this yet? Is it stable?
Curious because I recently installed Ubuntu 9.10 on my machine (dual booting with an old version of windows, just incase. Trying to limit it's use, tho). I would really like to be able to work on all of my BYOND things on linux.
I'm still fairly new to things here, and sort of feeling/reading my way around how it works.
If someone has done it, could you post some instructions for me to follow?

The installer seems to crash (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22368), but you can download the zip from the downloads page (won't have a menu entry though).
You also need mfc42.dll and possibly want riched20.dll, riched32.dll and riched30.dll, which can all be obtained through winetricks (http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks). You can then run byond.exe from the byond/bin folder. | |
I'm not sure if it was tested with Ubuntu 9.10 but the instructions are exactly the same. Submit a report on the AppDB if you do get it installed.
