Descriptive Problem Summary:
Recently after downloading BYOND version 450, I decided to take some screenshots of one of my games. When I took the shots, I went into the picture file to see the screenshot, and I noticed that it didn't come out correctly, in fact the entire screen was one solid color.
After some investigating and going through different games, I noticed that taking screenshots at the title screen of games worked perfectly, the screenshot came out normally. The second that your loc changed to a different "screen", screenshots would come out improperly by displaying one solid color.
Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
Start up a game, let your loc change, take a screenshot. Any screenshot after your loc as changed, whether or not you change your loc again, will come out improperly by diaplaying one solid color.
Expected Results:
For the screenshot to come out normally and show the screen as it was under any circumstances.
Actual Results:
Once your loc changes, all of the screenshots come out with one solid color.
Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often?
Everytime
In other games?
Yes
In other user accounts?
Yes
On other computers?
Haven't checked
When does the problem NOT occur?
It does not occur as long as you don't change your loc apparently. A title screen, for example, would come out fine in a screenshot.
Did the problem NOT occur in any earlier versions? If so, what was the last version that worked?
Version 447
Workarounds:
Go back to version 447?

I actually did try it in your first Scream of the Stickster game, and the problem did occur. It also occured in my old Megaman game while testing the problem, and my Zelda game.
Now what's interesting is that this problem doesn't occur in version 447. Something has changed. One thing that I just noticed is that when I turn off the preference to Use graphics hardware to display maps, the problem goes away and the screenshot turns out fine.

But does turning hardware rendering back on also allow screenshots again (at least until the next loc change)?
448 did have some map control changes but none that should have hurt screenshots. It's odd that I don't see the problem either. I still need to know what graphics card you're using as well.

My knowledge on graphics cards is very little. I did some looking around though. You can tell me if this has any meaning what-so-ever.

Also Turning hardware rendering off and on again does not solve the issue. Once it's back on, the screenshots do not take properly again.

Info that would be helpful:
- What video card do you have?
- If you switch to software rendering mode and then back again, does the problem go away?
- Is there any other code associated with the loc change that might be relevant?
- Which games have you seen this in?
