I am having problems hosting a Game, it seems to be running fine but when Others try to join, or I try to join through Pager it goes to a "Connecting...Failed" message.
I've asked others to see if they could join, but it seems they get the same message too.

Tai and Jdiz, This isnt really uncommon. There are games like Dragon Universe that get something called a wipe. I think its to reduce lag or something. That means its a new server so its impossible to rejoin on that old server. Maybe that server is down? Maybe you and your friend got banned? Firewall? And ect. I hope you find this helpfull

The most common cause of this seems to be being behind a router. You need to forward the appropriate port to the hosting computer to fix this.
www.portforward.com contains a guide to doing this for most routers. Equally, if you have a firewall in place, it can prevent incoming connections. You'll need to add BYOND and dreamseeker.exe as exceptions to prevent this. | |
