In order for us to help you more here, we will need more information, like what operating system you have, which games you've tried to play (links please), and anything else that might be relevant. A more detailed description of the issue would also help.

As a suggestion, try going to your BYOND preferences and turning off hardware display mode, to see if this helps. (You can do this from the pager in File | Preferences... | Games) or in Dream Seeker by right-clicking the icon in your taskbar and selecting Client | Preferences.) If that does help, see if turning hardware mode back on causes the problem to recur. If hardware mode causes the problem, this may be an issue with your video card, and could indicate the card is broken or needs a driver update.
