It would be great if the pager was changed and made into more of a game advertiser with messaging of course.
If another tab is added "Games", where games where game owners can advertise their games via paying, would be sweet. Could help raising the income or whatever. Or maybe "the editor's choice" games, featured games or anything that just put games up on the BYOND pager instead of having to look for games via the browser.
We are trying to move to more of a web-based approach since that gives a lot more flexibility, so that's why the "find a games" link goes to the web instead of on the pager (where it used to be). Although I agree it's a little bit clunky as it is right now. We attempted to correct this a while ago by having a "mini" web browser embedded in the pager and it did some things very nicely (eg, displaying new games right up front), but it had a lot of bugs and changed behavior, and I just deemed it not worth further investigation at the time, thinking it would just take too long and get a lot of complaints. That was difficult because we worked on it for a long time. Still, it's something I've planned on revisiting, especially now that we have the pager more integrated into the site. So that will probably be the next project after we have the Flash working.
