Hi there I recently posted this a awhile ago but, still I could find no answer to this problem. heres the deal my port is open i think it is 4567 it says on dream daemon that people can connect to it, but whenever my friend tries to connect from his house, it doesn't connect, like it will say launching.... the when it gets to the connecting.. it dissappears really fast. which means it problably said connection failed. umm I don't know anything about ips and ports but i wonder if this right? umm on options and messages it says byond://127.0.0.1:4567 i wonder if that is a good adress or not because i had one person tell me its not. please I need help really badly because i want to host.. and i know for sure that its not a firewall. because i turned of my firewall.

You need to give him your external IP. Go to whatismyip.com and give that to him.
| |
Okay so I went to the website, yeah the code is much diferent than this one, but how do make it where it will say my external ip on that byond://ip?
| |
Okay the weird thing is is that on dream deamon it says on the bottem my external ip adress which is 173.74.119.2 yeah byond://173.74.119.2:4567 but then when i open options and messages it says byond://127.0.0.1:4567 thats so weird. if so how to i fix this?

For you it says 127.0.0.1 because it's hosted on your machine.

It says on dream daemon it says byond reports 4567 is open to players in the green text. and ive tryed a few websites they say that the port is open
| |
Yeah it says Success: I can see your service on 173.74.119.2 on port (4567)
Your ISP is not blocking port 4567 so what could this mean?

It means your port is open. Are you sure you're hosting on that port?
| |
yes i am hosting on 4567, it says on dream daemon
BYOND hub reports port 4567 can be reached by players.
