This is a step-by-step Tutorial to help along the beginners at starting the game. It's designed to be simple and easy to understand so that hopefully nobody has any problems. I'm going to do this from the perspective of a new player who has never once played the game. I will be explaining the most simplistic and basic things in the game and I will exclude the use of recipes unless it is needed, for Yut Put has already supplied them on another topic. I won't be including advice on enemies and whatnot for they are pretty easy to understand and, again, they are described on the pseudo-wiki.

First of all, you'll see your initial surroundings:

What you would want to do first would be to click the ESC key at the, hopefully, top left of your keyboard. This would bring up the controls however for the purpose of this tutorial we will pretend it doesn't exist. You'll want to press the Q key to bring up your inventory. As so:

<img src = "http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/6152/ zen20120804135620.png"

In your inventory you'll see an axe which you can use to chop wood. To equip the axe (or anything for that matter), you click-and-drag it to the hotkey bar at the bottom of the screen. To actually use it, you have to click the corresponding key in which you have equipped the axe.

It should now look like this, except the axe will be highlighted:

<img src = "http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/6443/ zen20120804135636.png"

After you have equipped your axe, you're going to want to collect some wood. You do this by approaching a tree:

And clicking it.

The wood will automatically make its way to your inventory as long as you stand close enough to it. Most people will think i'm doing this incredibly slowly but bear with me, as I want to make sure nobody has any difficulties.

Moving on, next you want to make a furnace. Using the logs you now have you should go back to your inventory by pressing the Q key again and clicking on the logs so that you can create a wood block. Drag it to your inventory and equip it as you previously did with the axe. You can now place this block in the world by clicking in any space in the two tiled square around yourself. Your inventory should now look like this with maybe some other things:

When you've placed the wood block you want to push it into a stone block already on the map to create the furnace you so longingly desire. To push blocks you hold the shift key as you bump into them. When you've got your wooden block beside a stone block after rearranging them correctly or in however way you have done it you want to push your wooden block into the stone block:

Like this:

Congratulations! You now have a light source which is a very vital resource in Zen. If you haven't noticed.. bad things happen at night:

OMGWTF.

Moving on, now you will want to craft a pickaxe which can easily be done by pushing stone into your furnace and creating a metal block:

When you have the metal block in your inventory(ignore the rest of the stuff):

You can proceed to drag it onto a wooden log to create yourself a pickaxe which is also supplied in that screenshot. Now you can get to the real point of the game! After all, it is called minecra-..

Find yourself a nice cave and start spam-clicking those rocks to get yourself some stone!

As you can see, stone blocks drop resources just as trees do and they have mostly the same properties as well. You click them, make a block and use it for crafting materials.

You're almost done with gaining the tools you need to really get started! What you need to do now is drag a stone(A stone is one of the tiny balls you collect from stone blocks, not the actual stone block itself.) and drag it onto a wooden log to create a hammer. You use the hammer just as you place blocks except it lifts the block you click out of the ground. Here's an example of it lifting blocks out of the ground:

Which can be used to finally create a lovely place you can call home:

A sword is vital, but i've given you enough examples of crafting for you to look it up and make it yourself so instead i'll just leave it. Now you've got all the essential items and experience needed to create wonderous structures and inventions in the world of Zen. You just need to build something like this and take over all the servers:

Health is pretty useless to get at this point, to be honest. It's just an extra load of pointless hassle so that's why I didn't add it in.
Nice!
Very Nice tutorial

I'm sorry, you're correct. I read over it and it teaches the player almost nothing about how to actually play the game and what each individual tool does; I'm going to have to redo the entire thing so sorry for the inconvenience.
