I would like to see the ability to set a custom status for yourself in the BYOND Pager for all to see.

This actually was planned (and implemented) in a past pager update that never went live. In the future we plan to revisit that again and put its best features to work.

BYOND members can change their pager status within the [] brackets to whatever they type. When setting a custom status, you are prompted to type in a 1-10 letter message and you may select which of the default statuses it behaves like(Online,Away,Busy). All users are allowed to disable seeing them. If they are disabled, then you see the parent status displayed instead of the custom message.
