Savefile corruption?

BUG: Fmem block size at 1584 is 993024795/40984 with type 51.

Real position: 1589/40984
BUG: Ccorrupt or invalid savefile 'player_saves/scet'
BUG: Attempting auto-recovery of '/home/matthew/DBE/player_saves/scet'
BUG: Backed up old savefile as '/home/matthew/DBE/player_saves/scet_bad_000.sav' and exported text to '/home/matthew/DBE/player_saves/scet_bad_000.txt'.  REMOVE OR RENAME THESE FILES.  If too many of these files build up, auto-recovery will be disabled.

No idea why this happened its a first..

Maybe your system/BYOND crashed during file saving?

it never crashed its still running. hmm it hasnt stopped running in 3-4 days.

is there no way of recovering a save file once it is corrupted?

Not typically, no, unless you are quite intimate with what you've saved in the savefile, and the savefile format to identify and clean up any corrupted data. This is what auto-recovery helps with, exporting all the data it understood correctly to a textfile.
