Issue hasn't been assigned a status value.
Descriptive Problem Summary:
On both my old computer and my current one, I've noticed module files bearing the extension .it are far more quiet than the other tracker formats (.xm, .mod, and .s3m). The quietness only happens when played in Dream Seeker, as they play at full volume in Winamp.

Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
  1. Play a module file of the Impulsetracker (.it) variety. It plays at a far lower volume than the other tracker formats.
  2. Compare it to its volume in a program like Winamp.

Code Snippet (if applicable) to Reproduce Problem:
I prepared a demo to showcase the issue: [link]

Expected Results:
.it files play at an audible volume.

Actual Results:
.it files play quieter than others.

Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often? Every time.
In other games? Yes.
In other user accounts? Untested.
On other computers? Yes.

When does the problem NOT occur?
It always appears to occur.

Did the problem NOT occur in any earlier versions? If so, what was the last version that worked?
This issue has always been present since the addition of FMOD Ex, which I suspect is the culprit.

Workarounds:
None that I am aware of. Setting the sound's volume variable causes no changes to the song's audibility.
I seem to be seeing (hearing?) the same volume discrepancy (confirmed the difference by watching Windows' volume mixer levels). I don't have any sort of volume leveling on my media player. Running Windows 7 Pro 64bit, using Foobar2000 + DUMB module decoder to listen to the mods.
