I've got some plans.

Specifically, I'm going to be modifying how the king moves and the victory condition.

The victory condition will be to have more pieces on your opponent's side of the field than they do - that is, to have more pieces in their base than they do. The king can be taken without losing the game.

Additionally, I'm going to experiment with allowing the king to change any of your pieces into a non-queen, non-king piece as a move.

I have absolutely no idea how this will work out as a game, but I'm curious to see whether it's playable.
