Edit: The amount of rips made Nadrew kill himself back then lmfao.
I remember too. My god that was terrible.
I can easily say the current layout is the best I've seen BYOND have since I joined in '05. Some of these old ones were horrible.
My favorite iteration of BYOND was used for several years prior to 2005.

You guys go so far back into Byond. To a time i didn't even know existed o_O...Hmm i wonder how other stuffs look back then..
The page looked ugly, but I kinda missed back when BYOND was actually organized and divided their games into categories like this.

lol clicked on naruto goa and saw my name XD along with bet, kaufer, zelko, ban and zikki aww good times.

lol that's when i used the Southend_boy key instead of Southend_boi crazy.
Ah, 08... That was actually the year I joined, and that first link for January was probably not long before I joined too.

Honestly, I agree with Kumorii about the layout, this is the best one I have seen since I joined. It also got me to actually get involved in the forum, unlike the old one which just seemed annoying for that.

Although, I do have to admit I miss the blog/CSS features, and more importantly the website being a bit more colorful. There's so much gray now, that is my only real problem with this layout. Sure, it could improve by having mobile functionality and such, but one step at a time.

Oh, and as for the games I think we're way better off now. I miss the freedom we had before Funimation and Square Enix got involved, but I definitely do not miss the ridiculous amount of rips and Worthless fan games we had back then. Fan games are great, sometimes, but it's hard to find the great ones with so many visibly out there like it use to be.

Good fan games now will advertise appropriately. Bad ones will just spam pages, or rely on word of mouth, and such.

It lasted from Mar 11, 2003 to Jan 18, 2008, from what I can tell.
Yes, we all know how to use the wayback machine.

This is not a discussion of the Wayback Machine, rather a discussion of BYOND's old website incarnations.

I never really used my "blog" or the CSS that came with it, but I do miss reading the posts by all the users, the community was more active then than it is now... sadly..
