I think I'm gonna sit down and play a little Final Fantasy II or III tonight, just to get the feel of what I want to do with my current project.

I'm making some decent progress on the untitled game so far, my current struggle is trying to figure out what style of graphics I want the game to follow. I like the retro look of SNES JRPGs but I feel like I can do something a little better with BYOND. I recall once playing a game called Morte around here, and I really liked the style of graphics, even if they were a bit "RPG Maker" from what I can remember.
