Back when the new update was announced with all the pager changes, I could have sworn that I read that now anyone could make a hub for a game - it didn't required BYOND membership.

However, one developer is trying to add a subscription to his game. The reason for this is because he believes that he must still be a BYOND member to keep his game up and running. I'm a fan of this game, and I don't really want to see him chase off old members because of a misconception. At the same time, I'm not sure if it's me who isn't recalling information correctly. Could someone quickly answer whether or not membership is required to maintain a hub? Thanks in advance.
