DS will limit the line widths it sends to 80 chars, which I believe is default for telnet clients. I was hoping there was an option or a command that we could use to configure the length, since not all telnet clients are limited to 80. Some can handle word-wrapping themselves.

Although this isn't a priority problem, I don't think it'd be too hard to get done by next update [not trying to be pushy :) ].
In all seriousness, I would say that it's better to leave the word-wrapping up to the developer him/herself and completely remove any automated word-wrapping on the part of BYOND.

That way, the developer can include a verb to toggle word-wrapping on (and handle the word wrapping through copytext or whatever else) if their client doesn't do it automatically.
It might not have a lot of demand, but it would be nice.
Agreed, it gets kinda annoying.
