uh im not sure how to my the text screen black and idk how to make an OCC code.will anyone help?

Wrong forum. But I'll atleast help you out.

To make your background black: client/script = "<STYLE>BODY {background: black}</STYLE>"

Here's an idea of a OOC verb.

mob
verb
OOC()
var/T = input("What would you like to say to the world?","World Say")as null|text // Asks you what to say, yes, you could use mob/verb/OOC(T as text), but this way is more descriptive.

if(lentext(T) > 500) // You don't want people spamming your servers, do you? You can change the character limit.
alert("Your message cannot exceed 500 characters.") // Tells them the message is too long.
return // Stops the verb, or else the text would go through anyway.

if(isnull(T)) // If it's blank.
return // Well, stops it.

world << "[usr]says:</font> [T]" // Shows the world.

Now for my pointless sentence, I just got back from a movie with my friends.

mob
verb
OOC(msg as text)
if(!msg)return // blank message
msg = html_encode(msg) // strip html
if(length(msg) > 500) // if it is longer that 500 chars
msg = copytext(msg,1,501) // make it 500 chars
world<<"\icon[src] [src.name] : [msg]" // shoe your icon and message

Try if(!msg) return instead.

It can also be done with the script line.

client/script = "<STYLE>BODY {background: black; color: #999999}</STYLE>"

Read the DM guide! Stop asking for help when its all in there. Figure it out yourself like everyone else.

If you want to get picky:

That would only make it 499 characters, since copytext uses the third argument as the index after the last-copied character. msg = copytext(msg, 1, 501) would copy 500 characters to msg.

If you want to get picky:

I'm not trying to be picky, Killacentral is clearly new and there's a good chance he wouldn't understand why Dark's code isn't working.

I fixed it up.
