Yes

What you are probally refering to is a MUD(This will serve your purpose.)
Try searchin around BYOND for the keywords: mud, text. That should get you started, and I believe there are some tutorials that can help you get started. |

This is off-topic, but what does MUD stand for? It stands for Multi User Dungeon. The 'D' can be interchanged with other words such as Domain. ~Maku |

This is off-topic, but what does MUD stand for? Multi-User Dungeon. I don't see why they need so many different expressions, but oh well.... I mean: MUCK =Mutli-User Character Kingdom MUD=Multi-User Dungeon RPG=Role Play Game ORPG=Online Role Play Game MMORPG=Multi-Member Online Role Play Game and then there are a few others I can't remember..... |

Popisfizzy wrote: MMORPG=Multi-Member Online Role Play Game WRONG! All ORPGs = Multi-Membered. It means Massively Multiplayer... Sorry for correcting you I just didn't feel as if that was interchangeable. |
No, there are a few ORPGs that only one person can play.
Like Adventure Quest: Http://www.BattleOn.com Both interpretations are used, but I prefer Multi-Member. If you choose to use Massively Multiplayer, go ahead. |
RTSRPG: Real Time Strategy Role Playing Game (only a few of these)
MMORTS: Massively Mutliplayer Only Real Time Strategy FPS: First Person Shaver(I'm not lying. There is really one game called this) |
For MMORPGs, it stands for massively multiplayer in games such as EverQuest and World Of Warcraft. Multi-Member could be used for smaller games. Massively Multiplayer implies thousands upon thousands of people in the game.
