grids don't work properly when flexibility is off and the column and rows are set the grid will keep adding items to it downwards instead of next to it and will go on infinitely as if it had flexibility.

then when you turn on flexibility it negates row and column input and decides to add it horizontally rather then vertically which it doesn't add as many items as it should or could.

grids also have a lip overhang that isn't needed when you turn off name input for the atoms making it not hug the icon in the grid properly wasting space that could be needed

Example: a 32x32 box icon will have about 5 pixel gap overhang on the right side rather then hug it like the top bottom and left side do


I don't fully follow what you mean. More details and probably a test case would be ideal.
