So im trying to make it so that they show a picture of a skill next to the level and what not.. How do I do that? Do I need to use grid or could i just use the regular stat.?

If you have the .dmi of the skill, define it as a turf and next to the level you can add this:

"\icon[/turf/skillicon] [usr.level]"

It's actually probably better to define it as an object so you can do more with it.
