Serious Issue!! How can I stack turfs like old BYOND

I understand I havent been in BYOND for a very long amount of time but I recently started making my game, and ive noticed that now I cant stack turfs on top of each other, and the turf doesnt fill up the entire square is there a certain way I can get turfs to stack up again?

Note that you aren't actually stacking turfs, but simply adding the old turf's visual data to the new turf. There is only one turf per location, at all times. It has always been this way.
