So, some of you may have seen the recent classified ad looking for a programmer, well let's just say Purgatory should now be making some much needed progress.

I am going to post some new art things here every now and then, feel free to comment and criticize! Much thanks, very happy.

Err, did I just say worst? LMFAO

In fact the simplistic style is as much as a human being's eye needs, and you just got the grasp of how to make it attractive.
What was the issue that you were trying to solve, with the new version?
When I first created the assassin I couldn't create a decent running animation for him, so I just leaned him forward and that was his state for running, jumping,and dashing. He now has different animations for each.
I believe it might look better if an assassin had a scarf I'm not sure why I just believe they should.

There is a version that does have a scarf. It may get added in if I can get the wave motion of the scarf to look... real and not very jumpy.
It's quite simple to make it look real, you just need to imagine wind flowing through it and it should be okay, about 6 frames should be okay for it so it looks good a side note would be if you're going to make an animation for a scarf I'd probably use a program like graphics gale with the onion skin option so you can make sure it looks good
make his hood like like that of the Assassin's Creed dude, srry idk bout assassin's creed so idk his name too .-. , but just saying that'd be cool-ish?
I tried to make the hood assassin's creed style but it look really awkward kind of like when you wear a hoodie and the back part sticks up in a cone.
Sub-pixeling solves everything.
Ain't nobody got time for that... lol jk

It has been awhile how about a little preview of progress.

I am attempting a pixel art cell shading look... in monochrome. Lol trying to keep the game cartoon-ish plus most people liked the darker colors instead of the white outline.

Personally the light outline is what made the game as visually appealing as it was to me.
I liked the white outline at first but it was too different from the rest of the objects in the game. I tried giving them a similar white outline but it gave background objects the appearance of being blurry as if looking at a very far away object. We have always wanted to keep the game fun and inviting which we agreed would be through a cartoon-ish feel and I believe the new black outline helps with that goal. I will continue to toy around with other looks to try and get a good balance.
Updated! New animations! :3 Works with the new physics engine.
